Accessing President Biden’s Student Debt Cancellation

At the end of August, President Biden announced that the Department of Education will be cancelling up to $20,000 of student debt for people who used a Pell Grant to pay for college and up to $10,000 in debt cancellation for all other federal student loan borrowers, so long as borrowers earn less than $125,000 per individual or $250,000 per household. This is an historic announcement that will provide critical relief to millions of people struggling with student loan debt, with as many as 20 million people seeing their student debt wiped out completely.
Come to a webinar hosted by the Student Borrower Protection Center (SBPC) on the Cancellation announcement to learn about eligibility and how to complete the application so that you can benefit from the maximum cancellation for which you qualify. In addition, the webinar will review other recent changes to the student loan system, federal relief programs, and explain how to prepare for the return to repayment.
