    Join us as the unparalleled language of William Shakespeare fills the Berkshire Museum!

    At this special promenade event, you are invited to wander the galleries of the Berkshire Museum, encountering actors performing speeches and scenes from a variety of Shakespeare’s plays.

    Experience an ode to Cleopatra next to the Museum’s resident mummy, consider Macbeth’s final speech surrounded by a collection of beautiful clocks, become immersed in poetry of the sea in the Museum’s Aquarium, and more.

    Also featured in this event are excerpts from the Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, which is directed by Kevin G. Coleman.

    Scenes and monologues performed in this production were selected by the Museum’s Experience Manager, Emily Rome.

    This event is a collaboration of the Berkshire Museum and Shakespeare & Company.

    Ty is an award-winning children’s book author, literacy advocate, captivating motivational speaker, and honorary Doctorate recipient. The exhibition plans to highlight the how Ty Allan Jackson began his career, how he developed his literature, and what motivates his work, both on the page and his work in the community promoting childhood literacy.

  • Twas the Night Book Talk

    Berkshire Museum

    Celebrate the bicentennial of the beloved American poem with the release of a new book.

    Meet Pamela McColl, the writer of new book Twas the Night: The Art and History of the Classic Christmas Poem, during the Berkshire Museum’s Winter Fest. Join us as Pamela reads aloud Clement Moore’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas” along with a passage from her book, participates in a Q&A, and signs copies of the book.

  • Pajama Night

    Pajama Night returns in-person for the first time since 2019!

    Put on your favorite pajamas and join us for a cozy night of storytelling! Authors, artists, educators, and community members share stories at this free celebration of National Family Literacy Month. Children and their families are invited to listen as adults and kids read aloud, go for a story walk, engage in literacy-themed activities, and choose a free book to take home.

  • Berkshire Museum Night Out Trivia

    Berkshire Museum

    Enjoy art, science, and smart conversation after-hours during this special event as you grab a drink, meet new friends, and compete in the ultimate trivia challenge for prizes and the first-place trophy!

    Test your knowledge of science, history, literature, pop culture, and more, roaming various exhibitions to answer questions connected to the Museum’s collections.

    To be eligible for prizes, a team must have 2 to 6 people.

    Advance tickets (per person): $20 general admission, $15 museum members.
    Day-of-event tickets (per person): $25 general admission, $20 museum members

    Purchase includes hors d’oeuvres and one drink ticket for beer, wine, or a soft drink.
    Doors open at 6:30pm, first round of trivia begins at 7pm.
