SUMMARY:Community Conversations: The Effects of the Pandemic on Mental Health and How to Manage Moving Forward
DESCRIPTION:Join The Brien Center for “Community Conversations: The Effects of the Pandemic on Mental Health and How to Manage Moving Forward“\, a series of events open to the public starting in May\, which is Mental Health Awareness Month. The events will begin at around 5:30 PM and take place at various locations including Berkshire Athenaeum in Pittsfield on May 10\, Lenox Library on May 24\, North Adams Library on May 31\, and Berkshire South Regional Community Center on June 7. \nChristine Macbeth\, the President and CEO of The Brien Center\, will provide an introduction to the organization’s services and history. Following that\, Dr. Jennifer Michaels\, the Medical Director\, will discuss the effects the pandemic had on mental health and substance use and provide attendees with tools to manage these issues. The event will conclude with a Q&A session and will last approximately one hour. \nThe goal of these events is to provide attendees with a toolkit to help them be successful with their own mental health and bring The Brien Center even closer to the community. Refreshments will be provided.
